Make Them Thirsty

I’ve decided:

I am SACRED SIPS and SALTY QUIPS!!

Or HOLY HYDRATION with a SALTY REPUTATION!!!

You know…

Sparkling water for the soul.

A spiritual soda stream?

Effervescent with eternal impact!

Divinely carbonated..

Soul refresh with a fizz of faith?

Living Water Lush with a Holy Rush!

You know… Holy Spirit bubbly!!!

Being “Kingdom salty” (not sarcastic or snarky) is possessing a flavor-filled faith that purifies, preserves, heals, and stirs up thirst for something more. Because when Jesus called us “the salt of the earth” (Matthew 5:13), He wasn’t saying, “Blend in and be bland.” He was saying, “STAND OUT and STIR UP SOME THIRST.”

(And if you’re confused about the “salty” thing, it’s not about being cranky or offended. LOL!)

But I don’t just want to make people thirsty…

I want to hand them the Thirst-Quencher Himself—Jesus.

Because let’s be real—People are already thirsty.

They’re scrolling, striving, seeking…

Searching for anything that might satisfy.

Approval.

Applause.

Achievement.

Affection.

But it NEVER quenches.

ONLY Jesus satisfies.

I don’t want people to crave ME.

I want them to crave what’s IN me—Christ.

Because when they get a glimpse of joy that doesn’t dry up, peace that doesn’t shake under pressure, and hope that won’t crack in the crazy and the chaos—they just might ask, “What’s your source? Where’s that coming from??”

And then?!?! I GET to smile and say:

“Oh, this?

That’s ALL Jesus!!

Want a drink from the Source?”

Because if there’s anything good in me—it’s DEFINITELY not me.

It’s Him…

It is WHO I carry.

Because when you’ve really met Jesus,

You leak love.

You spill hope.

You drip glory.

And everybody around you starts getting thirsty!!

I’m not always steady.

Sometimes I stumble.

Sometimes I slip.

Sometimes I spiral…

But I always recalibrate in Christ.

He recenters me when the world spins totally sideways.

I’m not just vanilla…

I’m “covenant chili lime with a Kingdom kick!!”

Or you can say I am spicy, sanctified, and sealed with the Spirit!!!

(Yes, I “may” love a “little” alliteration!!!)

I love clever wordplay. I love making people laugh.

But I don’t want to sugarcoat truth—I want to season it!

Salty enough to make them thirsty…

Sweet enough to serve it in love!

So, here’s my flavor forecast:

I’m salty and sweet,

spreading hope in the heat,

with a Gospel so good,

you’ll be up on your feet.

Let my life carry flavor.

Let it point to the Savior.

And may I never lose my saltiness—

May I stir up thirst and lead them straight to the Well that never runs dry.

Because if the world is going to taste something through me, let it be FLAVORFUL FAITH—with a punch of purpose and a healthy splash of holy sass!

So, yes—

BE salty!

And make them thirsty.

But not for you.

Let your joy be loud.

Let your peace be unexplainable…

Let your hope be contagious!

And let your life be one giant billboard for grace…

With a splash of holy sass.

Let it stir up thirst—

And then point them to the Source!!
