Stay "Salty"

So, here’s the deal. I’ve had a little personal revelation in the last few days… The kind where you feel both convicted AND completely entertained by Holy Spirit!
I used to say I was “sarcastic.”
You know…just a little edge, a little wit. But then I actually looked up the definition—“the use of irony to mock or show contempt.” Yikes. That’s SO not cute.
That’s NOT fruit of the Spirit.
And that’s definitely NOT who I want to be.
Enter: my brother.
He goes, “I’ve decided the word that best describes you and Villy is… ‘SALTY’.”
I’m like, “how RUDE!!! ”
But then he explained—and y’all, I totally cracked up.
And then… it “clicked”.
I DO want to be SALTY!!!
Now, listen—normally, “salty” means you’re irritated, offended, or walking around with attitude. But if everyone else gets to hijack words and remix meanings to fit their vibe—like trying to make “sarcastic” sound charming when it literally means “mocking with contempt”—
then I TOTALLY get to reclaim salty for the Kingdom.
Because, let me tell you… I’m rebellious like that AND I’ve got a whole theology behind it!
I want to be a "salty" person.
Not sarcastic.
Not bitter.
Not offended.
But SALTY—like Jesus told us to be!
Because salt changes things.
Salt brings out flavor.
Salt preserves what would otherwise decay.
Salt purifies.
Salt heals.
Salt stirs up thirst.
Salt represents covenant.
Jesus actually said, “You are the salt of the earth…”
Matthew 5:13
So yes—I’m choosing to live salty.
Biblically salty.
Kingdom salty.
Glory seasoned.
Salty enough to draw people to the Living Water.
Salty enough to preserve truth in a world drowning in compromise.
Salty enough to heal with both grace and grit.
Salty enough to make people thirsty for righteousness.
And let’s not forget:
My saltiness comes with a dash of spice, a pinch of sass, and a whole heap of holy humor.
Because I ain’t trying to be bland out here.
I’m not vanilla. I’m “covenant chili lime” with a Kingdom kick. lol
I’m bold, not basic.
I’m flavorful, not fake.
I’m walking in power and punchlines, because that’s what I gots to be!
I don’t ever want to lose my saltiness.
Let my life carry flavor, power, and purpose. Let me be salt that impacts eternity!!!
